A Celtic goddess from the Welsh Mabinogion, Arianrhod is the keeper of the Silver Wheel of stars, symbol of time, kama and reincarnation. She is a mother aspect of the ancient triple Goddess, and is also associated with beauty and fertility.

I designed the knotwork myself based on a twelve point circular grid - to represent the turning of the twelve months of the year. The continuous knot also represents the flow of life, ever interweaving and changing form in an eternal pattern.

Painted for :iconavaloncommunity: 's Celtic myths and legends contest

8.5in x 8.5in watercolour

A big party that all your friends were invited to. I invited your best friend, the Companion Cube.

Of course, he couldn't come because you murdered him.

Very, very elegant and regal. Purple is most definitely your colour. I love everything, but especially the gown and her hair :)
